Other People's Children is a four-episode 2000 British television drama, adapted by Leigh Jackson from Joanna Trollope's 1998 novel of the same name. The series tells the story of how three women and two men deal with new marriages and the consequences of the new spouses or partners having to deal with their partner's children of different ages from previous marriages.

Zhenya is finally accepted into the ranks of a local cool group of teenagers, which he has long dreamed of getting into. Soon, he goes fishing with them and decides to hide the inflatable boat as a joke. Angry guys beat an innocent boy, after which Zhenya understands that it is better to refuse such a friendship…

The young machine operator Fyodor Soloveikov marries Stesha from a neighboring village and moves to live with her parents in a house.
